About Us

Statement of Faith

We believe that the Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, that they are inerrant in the original writings and that they are the supreme and final authority of all Christian faith and life.

(Matthew 22:29-32; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, perfect and Holy, eternally existing in three equal yet distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:3-6; Titus 3:4-6)

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man.  He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind.  He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of God the Father, He is our Mediator, Advocate and Intercessor. (Matthew 1:18-23; John 1:1-14; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Hebrews 7:23-25; 1 John 2:1-2)

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to Glorify God, convict mankind of its sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 15:26; John 16:7-15; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 3:16-17)

We believe that mankind was created in the image of God with free moral choice.  Mankind chose to sin by disobeying God and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is total separation from God.   Because of that disobedience, every person is now born with a sinful nature and must confess Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior in order to be reconciled with God. (Genesis 1:27; John 3:3,16-18; Romans 3:10-24; Romans 5:12; Romans 10:9-13)

We believe that Jesus Christ, being sinless, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins.  Everyone who confesses Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior is justified solely by the blood He shed on the cross and is saved only by grace through faith in Him, not by any human merit or works. (John 3:16; Romans 5:1,8-9; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:22-28)

We believe that the Lord's Supper, Water Baptism By immersion, and the Washing of Feet are ordinances to be observed by the Church.  They are however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:19-20; John 13:1-17;  I Corinthians 11:23-26)

We believe that the true Church, of which Christ is the Head, is composed of all persons who, through a saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit.  Only those who are members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church.

(Acts 2:47; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Ephesians 4:1-6)

We believe that the Church is the witness of Christ To the world; demonstrating the love of Christ; sharing the message of Christ; developing the believer’s life in Christ. (Matthew 5:13-16; Matthew 28:16-20; John 13:34-35; John 14:11-14; Ephesians 4:1-32)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church and that every local church has the responsibility under Christ, to decide, govern and be held accountable for its affairs in accordance with the teachings of Scripture. (Matthew 18:15-20; Ephesians 1:22; Colossians 1:18; 1 Tim. 3:1-16; Titus 1:5-9; James 3:1)

We believe in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that the promise of His return has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18; 1 John 3:1-3)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; The believer receiving everlasting life with God; the unbeliever receiving an everlasting conscious punishment separated from God. (2 Corinthians 5:1-10; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10; Revelation 19:6-16; Revelation 20:15)

We believe that Satan is real; a personal being; a fallen angel; the great deceiver; the prince of demons; the active enemy of Christ and His Church. We believe that he was defeated by the blood of Christ and that his destiny is everlasting punishment. (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-17; Matthew 4:1-11; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4; 2 Corinthians 11:14; 1 Peter 5:8-9; Revelation 20:10)

We believe that prayer is communication with God.  Through prayer we offer Him praise, give thanks, confess our sins and petition for our needs.  He listens to our prayers and responds according to His perfect will. (1 John 5:14-15; James 5:13-18; 1 Timothy 2:1-4; Ephesians 6:18)
