Below are descriptions of Music & Worship ministries.

Attendance

Taking attendance every Sunday morning allows us to meet people new to Caring Community and the area, and helps us know when a member may need prayer or some other kind of assistance.

Wednesday Children's Ministry
children of all abilities and ages learn about the Lord through many forms of art, sculpting, painting, drama, music, and role-play.  This class meets Wednesday evenings from 7-8:15.

Greeter/Welcome Center
Greeters are the first people everyone sees, whether they are visiting or regular members.  Our role is to greet people with genuine kindness.  Our goal is to ensure we extend kindness to everyone and that they will see God in our church and in us.  Greeters help the newcomer to be known and fee a sense of belonging, to make a connection.

Children's Church
Children's Church, a worship service for children, will teach children age 3-11 years, how to be involved in God's work and how to apply lessons to their everyday lives.  Children's Church will be held Sunday at 10:30 a.m. just like the adult worship service.

Ladies Ensemble
The Ladies Ensemble is a group of women who love to Praise the Lord through song.  Practice is held Wednesday evenings at 6:15 in the sanctuary and several times throughout the year we share a special selection during the worship service.  All ladies who love to sing are welcome--no tryouts!

Projection
Sunday mornings, and at other times, announcements, Worship songs, illustrations and photographs are needed as a focal point during worship services and other events held at the church.  That is the purpose of the Projection Ministry.

Signing for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

This ministry was started for those who have a hearing deficit or use sign as their primary language.  This ministry is open to all who desire to worship in a visual as well as auditory fashion.  We, along with the worship team, prepare Wednesday evenings from 8:15-9:15 at the church.

Sound

The Sound Ministry is responsible for providing a proper blend of instruments and vocals during worship and for having the speakers and microphones coming on at the proper time.  We also record the sermon and duplicate it, providing copies for all who want them.   We operate the lights to provide the proper atmosphere for the service and provide playback of recorded music, videos and DVDs.

Stewardship
The Counting Ministry is a group of men or women that handles the counting of the giving for the church.  Each week, there is a two person team that counts at the conclusion of the service and inputs it into a computer program for tracking purposes.  Computer experience is not required but helpful.

Watchmen on the Wall
The focus of the Watchmen on the Wall (WOW) ministry is three-fold:  1) To intercede for the worship service.  2) To monitor the lobby and hall.  3) To be a gatekeeper for the front door.  God has clearly led us to this ministry to bless, encourage and protect what He is doing and plans to do in and through Caring Community.

Worship & Praise Team
At Caring Community we believe in worshipping the Father in spirit and in truth.  Knowing that we have been called to offer not just our talents, but our whole lives as living sacrifices to bring glory to God’s Kingdom is the common theme that binds the worship team together.  We have a devotion time each Wednesday evening at 8:15pm and approximately two hours of preparation, between Wednesday night and Sunday morning, before we corporately worship on Sunday mornings.  Our time of worship is deep and passionate and prayerfully our lives reflect what we sing and praise in our time together.
