In Matthew 21:13, Jesus declares, "My house will be called a house of prayer."

The House of Prayer ministry exists to encourage, train and facilitate the prayer life of Caring Community Church. Our goal is that prayer will be foundational to and saturate every aspect of individual and corporate life.

God's heart is that we be known as a house of prayer; a throne for His presence and glory that transcends the physical walls of the church and transforms the environment in which every believer lives.

In Acts 4:23-31, the church prays for more boldness after Peter and John were released from the Sanhedrin. "After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly."

In John 17, Jesus prays for us. He knew what we'd need to be able to carry out the commission He was leaving with us, and He specifically prayed for us.

Caring Community's House of Prayer meets every Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m., the 2nd-4th Wednesdays in the church cafe'.  The first Wednesday of every month, House of Prayer is held in the Worship Room and is a Soaking Prayer Time when we pray for the prodigals in our lives.

Romans 8:26 encourages us with these words: "The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will."

Joining in His Holy Spirit, Jesus intercedes for us as well. "Christ Jesus, who died, more than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." (Romans 8:34)

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 tells us, "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ."

It is the goal of the House of Prayer ministry that we would do exactly that.
