Our Statement of Faith
We believe that the Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, that they
are inerrant in the original writings and that they are the supreme and final authority of all Christian faith and life. (Matthew
22:29-32; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, perfect and Holy, eternally
exisiting in three equal yet distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19;
Ephesians 4:3-6; Titus 3:4-6)
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was
conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind.
He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of God the Father, He is our Mediator, Advocate
and Intercessor. (Matthew 1:18-23; John 1:1-14; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Hebrews 7:23-25; 1 John
2:1-2)
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to Glorify God, convict mankind of its sin, regenerate
the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 15:26; John 16:7-15;
Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 3:16-17)
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God with
free moral choice. Mankind chose to sin by disobeying God and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual
death, which is total separation from God. Because of that disobedience, every person is now born with a sinful nature and
must confess Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior in order to be reconciled with God. (Genesis 1:27; John 3:3, 16-18;
Romans 3:10-24; Romans 5:12; Romans 10:9-13)
We believe that Jesus Christ, being sinless, died on the cross as
a sacrifice for our sins. Everyone who confesses Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior is justified solely by the
blood He shed on the cross and is saved only by grace through faith in Him, not by any human merit or works. (John 3:16; Romans
5:1, 8-9; Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:22-28)
We believe that the Lord's Supper, Water Baptism by immersion,
and the Washing of Feet are ordinances to be observed by the Church. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means
of salvation. (Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:19-20; John 13:1-17; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
We believe that the true Church, of which Christ
is the Head, is composed of all persons who, through a saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
Only those who are members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church. (Acts 2:47; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Ephesians 4:1-6)
